Sankat Mochan Samiti (SMS) is committed to assisting community morally, spiritually and physically in critical needs. With this conviction Sankat Mochan Kendra (SMK) was established on 15 June 2014. There are three aspects of SMK; Sankat Mochan Mandir (Temple) fulfils the spiritual needs and the Community Hall is dedicated to Social Welfare, Cultural and Knowledge Sharing needs of our current and future generations. Social Welfare activities are currently offered by Hum Tum Group under the auspices of SMS. This group provides family support and addresses the issues related to family crisis in our community. This three in one offering with dedication and in-confidence is unique and very essential for the current and the growing Indian community for generations to come.

To conduct the community based SMK activities a team of dedicated volunteers have undertaken these responsibilities with a feeling that the Kendra (Centre) belongs to every one and it needs moral, spiritual, physical and not to forget financial support from every one of us. The financial support received up to date has been encouraging but to meet the regular fixed expenses to run the Kendra a regular monthly commitment of donation is essential. A minimum contribution of ten dollar ($10) per earning member of the SMS family per month will sustain our Kendra not only for today, but forever for the generations ahead (A historical eternal initiation lasting for ever). The regular painless individual contributions are essential to sustain and maintain our budgetary requirements for our day to day expenses and the plans for the future development.
